A Cheerful Cottage

When choosing the color palette  for this cottage, the home owners were inspired by the lake, sun and sky. What better colors than  Blue, Orange and White. A bright and cheerful cottage  with family friendly  furniture and washable  fabrics used  throughout the house. This adorable cottage sits on Lake Simcoe, in Ontario Canada. Classic  Blue and White, paired with  Orange is  a huge trend right now, one I hope will stay for awhile. How do you feel about Blue and Orange together?

Brazilian Eclectic

 When it comes to interior design, Sig Bergamin is in a league of his own.I love his eclectic design style and imaginative use of color. His portfolio of beach homes and his choice of coastal decor is an inspiration to me. This time,it is his own incredible beach house refuge in Trancoso ( Bahai SA )  that  will be featured .on the cover of Elle Decor's  April Issue. Montauk Yacht Club

The legendary Montauk Yacht Club in Montauk NY has long been the playground to the rich and famous and the chic of the chic.. I have been fortunate enough to spend time there myself. I thought I would share some beautiful images of this  simple chic nautical resort club.

Beach House On The Dunes

 Somewhere On a dune in  South Hampton NY, sits a guest house, that has all the elements of  the ocean and the beach  brought inside  by the use of the color blue....Designers Kim Coleman and Michele Greene created a dwelling, that is one of opulence, with a comfortable, welcoming feel..

A Beach Cottage Dream

I'm a gal that loves color!Every room in my house has been painted and repainted ,several  times, in several different colors,over the last 11 years. So why am I so  drawn to  white right now? I want  all the walls white! Lately,I have been dreaming that my hubby and I will be able to unload this  large home and move into a little cottage, downtown in the historic district, with all white walls, with pops of bright color everywhere.But, this really is a dream...we have 5 kids, and hopefully soon will be grandparents, so a little cottage probably isn't an option, but if it were,these rooms are a great inspiration for me.Do you adore or abhor white walls?
