Hello lovlie's, If you love the coastal living lifestyle, and I know you do... and the fabulous designer Tim Clarke, then you are going to love his new book Coastal Modern. If you didn't make it for the launch party in Hawaii, fear not, because Casa Sugar scored an interview with Tim, and got a tour of one of the homes featured in his book.
There isn't anything that Tim has done that I don't like, and from what I can see this is no exception. His coastal modern is modern without being too stiff and cold and his coastal is coastal without being too kitschy. I call it "Coastal Cool"
This featured home is a 1928 Craftstman style home in Santa Monica, CA. Coastal modern embodies the mixture of old and new; furnishings, patterns and texture with the use of colors that represent the sun, sand, water and sky. I am a huge fan and looking forward to buying this and adding to my collection.
