Serenity On The Sound

I am always so happy to see  beautiful homes from my old " stomping grounds" of Rowayton,, CT and this house is no exception. Architectural Designer Louise Brooks along with friend and confidant Designer Lynn Morgan helped create a beautiful sea inspired home for the sea loving family with out it being a real beach home with obvious nautical touches. Instead Louise used her favorite color White through out the entire home, with soft Blues and coastal Greys along with original  artwork to create a coastal feel..This traditional home that sits on a bluff over looking the sound is a serene dream.

A Lobster House

This quintessential New England beach house on the New Hampshire coast was designed by  Boston based designer Jim Gauthier, where whimsical Lobster's and Gauthier's signature color Orange take center stage. Gauthier and his entire family took part in the transformation of this elegant yet comfortable family friendly 6 bedroom beach house retreat that was purchased in 2000. The transformation took 7 years, and end result is fabulous.Nautical style is present in almost every room, making this house, a house any coastal lover would swoon  over, and only  45 steps from the house until your toes touch the sand...not too shabby.

                              I am crushing over this gigantic Lobster over the fireplace!

                                      These pulleys add great architectural interest .

Bell Island Chic {Rowayton}

This  luxurious coastal home sits on the Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT. It can be yours  for  4,997.000! I don't know much about the home, as far as who did the interior design, but what I can tell you is, it sits at the opening to Long Island Sound, on "The Point" of Bell Island, and on a clear day you can see the Manhattan skyline, and  you have a perfect view of Green Ledge Lighthouse. This is coastal perfection.

Columbian Coastal Casa

 Colombian Born Designer Richard Mishaan  designed this beautiful  home as a getaway for his family in  Cartagena, Columbia. It has  modern blend of South American sizzle and old world antiquity that represents Colombian style. It is a 16th century home that has been brought into the 21st century while trying to preserve the historical heritage.  The end result is stunning.

   I am busy getting my questions together and revised for my Q & A with the incredible designer Tim Clarke.

 I am so excited to share this with you all very soon!
