I am always so happy to see beautiful homes from my old " stomping grounds" of Rowayton,, CT and this house is no exception. Architectural Designer Louise Brooks along with friend and confidant Designer Lynn Morgan helped create a beautiful sea inspired home for the sea loving family with out it being a real beach home with obvious nautical touches. Instead Louise used her favorite color White through out the entire home, with soft Blues and coastal Greys along with original artwork to create a coastal feel..This traditional home that sits on a bluff over looking the sound is a serene dream.

Lynn Morgan's Savannah Row House
Not only does my design crush Lynn Morgan live where I am from in CT, but she also has a house not far from where I live now!! I was thrilled to find out that she has a row house in the historic district of Savannah Georgia. Why wouldn't she? It is so beautiful. When she designed the Greek Revival house, that was built in 1853. she kept in mind the architectural detail, and added some period pieces to highlight that period while implementing a feminine, modern feel that is a perfect balance of coastal elegance and comfortable glamor. Lynn never gets in wrong in my book. I need to find out where her house is the next time I am in Savannah!

Colorful, casual, and classy are just a few words that come to mind when I saw Lynn Morgan's latest design project in Southport, CT. There is destinct coastal influence, combined with a classic elegance that flows beautifully.I can't decide which room is my favorite! Which one do you like best?

A Peaceful Seaside Home
When I saw this home I had to share it, for two reasons; one, the designer, Lynn Morgan Who I have written about before.. my design crush. and two, this house is in Rowayton , CT. where I spent most of my childhood, playing tennis at Roton Point. and we kept our boat in Rowayton. It is a small town that is quaint and lovely and lies along Long Island Sound.
This home is a coastal gem with a serene welcoming feeling, that is open and airy. The paleness of the grey with the pops of blue yellow and orange are beautiful. Does Lynn ever do any thing wrong?? I love this home!
