Decorating with Nautical Flags

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, before radio's and cell phones, the only form of communication between two vessels or vessel to shore was the use of nautical flags. The use of nautical flags today in decor adds a bold pop of  color to a room..The  nautical look  is so popular,  there are endless websites to help you get  your  room  in "ship shape". There are also several websites that will translate a name, initials or a sentence, so you you can purchase the appropriate flag  Check out www.wingood.com.
this website will translate up to 14 letters. Enjoy these sea worthy rooms for great inspiration!

Frame vintage flags in dark frames to compliment a nautical vintage feel.

This has a festive feel.

Make your own  wooden flags on wood.

What better way to honor a loved one in the Navy, than to display Naval flags!

Just a simple touch.
A great nautical flag collection.

Last but not least, what better way to send off a high school grad that is going into the Navy or entering the United States Naval Academy with a party using nautical flags?. I am proud to say my Nephew will be the class of 2015! So we will be saying.......
GO NAVY!!!!!!!
