Wood Plank Walls
Last week I posted about my recent love for all white walls..Another look I really am loving, is the wood plank look. Although My husband won't be planking any walls anytime soon, with his current health condition, I would love to create this look in a room in our home. I think it can give a space a great beach feel as well as a coastal cottage look One wall could be done as an accent wall, with some color or using reclaimed wood , could give a rustic vintage feel..These rooms are great inspiration for me and will keep them in my idea files. I love the look, too! The house we are remodeling has cedar walls in the living room and loft areas and we are trying to decide whether to leave them natural or paint... I'm leaning toward paint and my husband is leaning toward natural, but we've agreed to wait till we've lived through a cycle of seasons (it stays pretty dark and rainy in the winter, but we can get a lot of glare in the summer) before we make the final decision.
Hi Linda. Nice collection of timber walls.. I especially like the first whitewash walls with a hint of blue :) There is a lot of timber clad walls here in Queensland, most get just a coat of white paint! One of my last projects included a new recycled VJ timber feature wall, stripped back and painted with a milk paint product... might use it for my own house next time. Lisa
Hi Linda.. I love most of these.. especially the painted walls.. I find I really love the wide planks too.. something simple and clean about them

Love this post! We just put pine planking in our daughter's room.It has made it so much cozier already! We still need to prime and paint it. I will post about it once it is complete.

Love wood planked walls. I would love to have this in my family room in my next house. My current house is all windows - no wall space which sometimes is a bummer.
Oh I just love this look! I'm trying to convince my husband we NEED it in our bedroom. I love the idea of using recycled wood if I could get my hands on some! Thanks for sharing the awesome inspiration pics!

I love these and also in the new issue of Southern Living there is a house where every room is wood. My question is if it's a new house what kind of backing if any is behind it?
